“I’m a woman of faith, of great spiritual faith, in fact. If I didn’t have my faith, I don’t think I could have ever helped as many women and families as I have, to overcome the multi-tormenting, long-term affects of sexual abuse. One by one, I’ve helped them speak up, and separate themselves from the darkest hours of a human soul. I travelled deep into their childhoods – only stopping occasionally to weep for myself and weep for others. Some of my counselees held different spiritual beliefs than I. That never mattered to me. At times, I realized that I had to draw on my faith to carry us all.” Dr. Kaye Smith. (Click here to meet Dr. Kaye)
OUR MISSION: No More Silent Crimes, Silent Children
Reclaim Global is a non-profit organization. We believe any type of sexual abuse is horrible. It shows no prejudice. We know that women, men, and children, both boys and girls are molested, raped, abducted, trafficked, sold into sexual slavery, molested by strangers, by females and males – but in the bigger picture of sexual abuse these tragic issues are small compared to the children, especially the little girls, that are molested each night in their beds, by a father, step-father, a brother, step-brother…. Our strategy is two-fold, but single focused – as women, who were sexually abused, we must heal ourselves and learn how to really protect our children. (Click to read more.)
ABOUT US: We are women. We are Reclaimers.
We are women; we are Reclaimers who have gained our lives back from the shattering impact of our childhood sexual abuse. We have reclaimed who we are. We are now working on becoming who we were supposed to be, if we had not ever been sexually abused. Although we may have looked normal on the outside, the development of our inner-self was halted, because of sexual abuse. (Click here to read more ABOUT US)
Meet Dr. Kaye M. Smith
I’ve worked with sexual abuse victims daily for over fifteen years. I began helping sexually abused men, woman and children. I’ve even counseled with perpetrators. I’ve even helped prosecute some.
Since 1995, I’ve learned a few things about the horrors that accompany this god-awful crime. It literally robs its victims from their full potential. Sexual abuse shows no prejudice to sex, race, creed, education, culture, religion, social status, location, home, family, neighborhood, or nation. (CLICK HERE to read more…)
Sexual abuse is rampant. The Statistics are skewed way to low.
Sexual abuse is epidemic, spreading like the worst societal plague; one that, if not stopped, will corrupt the very fiber of our morals and social order. Today, sexual abuse is far more pandemic than realized. It’s like a virulent disease. It is endemic and has become all too common. It is a defacement of humanity. It is a severe crime against the human race around the world, and always has more consequences for the victim than the abuser. This must change. Sexual abuse must be talked about, even its sordid details. It must not be quelled. We cannot ever look the other way again. We cannot react to sexual abuse with fear or shame.
